'American Horror Story' Season Two, Revealed!
Last night, The Academy Of Television Arts & Sciences reunited the season one cast of American Horror Story to talk about the show's success and drop some hints about the super-secret season two.
The biggest news came when creator Ryan Murphy revealed where the second season would take place: "[Season 2] is set on the East Coast at an institution for the criminally insane that is run by Jessica [Lange]," Murphy said, elated yours truly since that's what I've been hoping for since it was revealed in December that he'd embedded a hint to the location in season one episode, Birth.

"[When] Sarah Paulson's character, Billie Dean, says to Jessica and Taisa [Farmiga] as she's sage-ing the house and talking about places where evil collects: We talk about institutions and prisons and things like that. That was the clue."

And while he revealed where the second season will take place, Murphy stopped short at saying when it would take place, save for this quote: "The second season is set in a completely different time period."
Various casting tidbits have come out in recent weeks -- not only will Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe return (albeit as different characters) for season two, but Adam Levine and French actress Lizzie Brochere have also been announced as new co-stars.

Of The Voice judge, Murphy said, "He's a sexy guy so he needs to play a sexy guy, but the guy that is different than who you think he would play. I pitched him the part and he listened, slack jawed, and simply said, 'I'm in.' The second season is fun, sexy and baroque. It has a lot of meat to it; it's a really gritty part. He's with a girl and they play characters called The Lovers."

Murphy also added that the five familiar faces might not be the only season one stars to pop up in season two -- "The idea is to work with actors that you love and are excited by. There will be other people up on this stage who are not announced who will also be in it but are playing the polar opposite of what they were in the first season in every way," he said.
And for those of you who couldn't make the event, let it be known that Murphy was joined on stage by Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Alexandra Breckenridge and Denis O'Hare -- so speculate away!
