Nominations for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards have just been announced, with fan favorites The Hunger Games and Bridesmaids leading the pack with eight nods each, going neck to neck in categories "Movie of the Year," "Best Cast" and "Breakthrough Performance."

The typically Twilight-centric awards show surprisingly only included two nominations for Breaking Dawn -- Part 1, including "Movie of the Year" and a "Best Kiss" nod for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, which the real-life couple has nabbed three years in a row.

Kristen Wiig, Jennifer Lawrence and Melissa McCarthy are the most nominated ladies of the night with four nominations each, while Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Josh Hutcherson are the most nominated males, also with four nods apiece.

Nominations are diverse at this year's show, with Drive, Like Crazy, The Descendants and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo also getting some MTV love from the typically anything goes awards show.

"Does this mean I get to be in a music video?!," jokes Shailene Woodley, who's nominated for "Best Breakthrough Performance" for her role in The Descendants.

Though of course, Shailene's already been in a music video -- Best Coast's star-studded Our Deal video directed by Drew Barrymore.

Voting opens today, at MovieAwards.MTV.com, and will stay open through Saturday, June 2nd. The "Movie of the Year" category will remain an open poll throughout the live show, which airs Sunday, June 3rd, at 9 p.m. on MTV.
