Jennifer Lopez made the bombshell announcement Friday that she was leaving American Idol, but now the reasons for her exit are getting more clear.

Besides the unsurprising reasons of wanting more time for her other endeavors (music and film) and more time with her twins Max and Emme that she told Ryan Seacrest about on On Air with Ryan Seacrest, it is now revealed that Steven Tyler's exit from the show also swayed her towards the door.

"We had magic," Lopez said in a sit-down interview with ABC News' Amy Robach on Sunday. "I don't know, with him gone, it might be a different formula."

Tyler joined Lopez at the American Idol judging table at the same time in 2010, and announced his exit just a day before her own emotional phone call with Seacrest.

So who does J. Lo think should be the next American Idol judge?

Apparently, she has a thing for rock stars.

"I think like Bono or Bon Jovi or Mick Jagger," she told ABC News. "You know me, I think big."
